Jessica Marie Alba (American actress, businesswoman) is Jessica Marie Alba. At thirteen, she began appearing in movies and television. Her first appearance was in Camp Nowhere (1994) and The Secret World of Alex Mack (1994). However, her rise to fame was at the age of 19, when she was the main actress in Dark Angel (2000-2002), which was nominated for an award called a Golden Globe. Honey (2003) was her biggest screen success. She quickly established herself as a Hollywood star and has starred in a variety of box office smashes, including Fantastic Four (2005) and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007). Jessica Marie Alba was conceived in Pomona to Catherine Louisa (nee Jensen) as well as Mark David Alba. Her mother is of Danish, Welsh and German ancestry. The grandparents of her paternal grandfather were born in California as children of Mexican immigrants. Joshua is her younger brother. Gustavo Arellano (her third cousin) is her father in biological form. The father of her Air Force career took her family to Biloxi in Mississippi and Del Rio Texas before she returned to Claremont California when she was nine. Alba described her family's strict character as being a traditional, Catholic and Latin American family. However, she describes her own liberal views as she's identified herself as a feminist from when she was five years old.
